President of the Molong Early Learning Centre, Kate Strahorn, along with committee members, Miss Emma and the MELC team, parents (present, past and future) is excited that long-time plans to extend the buildings and services is finally happening.
“We launched the tender last Thursday said Kate. “There is a two week opportunity (closing date 15 February 2018) for local builders to submit their tender documents.”
“This is an exciting time for the whole community who, for many years now, have planned, fundraised and sought grants to expand buildings and services at the MELC so that children and families, working mums and dads – will not miss out on these critical services in Molong and district.”
“Ideally we would like to appoint a local builder to carry out the works. We are “shovel ready” and would like to commence the build as soon as possible.”
“We need to receive at least three quotes to be able to award the job.” “This is an exciting time for both the MELC and the Molong and district community who have pleasingly all worked together as a positive team to achieve this milestone”, said Kate.
