It’s all hands on deck at SPAR Molong with the whole team working together to fill the shelves as soon as the delivery trucks arrive. “We’re still not receiving our full weekly orders from suppliers since the panic buying started across the country” said Peter Crich (photographed above with managers, Viv Sharpless and Nicole Gosper). “Like others in the industry, we are in the hands of price changes dictated nationally by supply and demand.”
“But, we’re doing our best here at SPAR and would like to thank the people of Molong and district for their continued support during this time of unprecedented change to all of our lives.”
“This is a community that has a wonderful track-record of coming together to help each other during times like this” said Peter. Our families (Crich and Brennan) will never forget how the Molong and district communities helped us when our Bank Street supermarket was destroyed in the disastrous 2005 floods. We will always be grateful and strive, particularly in the times like we are all affected by today – to do our utmost to look after our customers and members of the SPAR team.
“Let us shop for you and deliver to your door” said Viv and Nicole who have extended the unique SPAR shopping and home-delivery service to accommodate the needs of more customers. “We want to make sure that our customers and residents have food and supplies whilst Social Isolation and Social Distancing measures are in place to control the spread of COVID-19” said Viv.
“Please phone your orders in by 11 a.m. each day (Monday to Friday)” said Nicole. “We’ll shop for you and home deliver the same day. “We have been able to extend our delivery service through the Rapid Response Team which Kelvin Scott and volunteers of the Plymouth Brethren congregation have put into place to help our communities. “We are extremely grateful to Kelvin and the RRT team for their help” said Peter Crich.
