Proud of their efforts in bringing the new ANZAC Cenotaph to Molong – Norm Carpenter (Molong RSL Sub-Branch), Reverend Wayne Spenser and Sister Ann who led the Dedication Service, David Bloomfield (Molong RSL Sub-Branch), Mayor Kevin Beatty, Rick Colless, Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier.
David Bloomfield and Norm Carpenter led the project, Cabonne Council provided a grant for the works, and the NSW Government through Rick Colless donated $13,000 for the black granite sculpture and surrounds. The local community donated $7,000 to ensure that the cenotaph was completed in time for next week’s ANZAC Day service.
