Representatives of Central West peak organisations are working together and pooling ideas to best assist and represent the Central West region during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is very important to look after ourselves, firstly our lives and then our livelihoods,” said Cabonne Mayor Kevin Beatty.

“These key regional development bodies are working together to help support our local economies. It’s important to keep in touch with these organisations and take advantage of their valuable services,” he said.

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Central West Chair, Christine Weston encourages everyone to continue to shop, spend and invest locally.

“RDA Central West is proud to be working closely with the other lead economic development entities across the Central West. Our resolve is being tested, but we are definitely stronger working together,” she said.

“RDA Central West will continue to advocate on the region’s behalf to ensure the stimulus measures to date hit the mark and are responsive to the needs of our region. We welcome the collaborative approach of different levels of government in response to this situation.”

Business NSW, formally the NSW Business Chamber, represents businesses in NSW by providing;

  • A Workplace Advice Hotline for human resource, industrial relations and legal queries
  • Free legal and human resource guides, templates, Q&A’s and articles.
  • Assistance to understand the Federal and NSW Government stimulus packages
  • Working in conjunction with your Local Chamber to bring more resources and assistance as needed
  • Advocating on behalf of businesses to ensure everything is done to help survive this pandemic
