Mulga Bill Quickshear rolls into Yeoval

YEOVAL is gearing up for one of its fastest and most anticipated community events, with the Mulga Bill Quickshear set to return on Saturday, 29 August, drawing shearers from across regional New South Wales and beyond.

Announcing a new venue for this years event, the Quickshear will be held at the Yeoval Showground.

The annual event has become a staple on the local calendar, celebrating the district’s ties to Australia’s wool industry.

Unlike traditional shearing, the Quickshear is all about speed.

Shearers go head-to-head in short, high-intensity rounds, with judging based on how quickly they can remove the fleece.

Organisers said the event has been running for more than a decade and continues to attract competitors and spectators from across the state, with the day offering more than just competition.

Alongside the shearing action, the Yeoval Eagle Rugby Club will run a barbecue, while Yeoval Preschool will offer cakes and slices.

The Yeoval Show Society will operate the bar, and families can enjoy a jumping castle and plenty of space to run around.
