UNIVERSITY students who have recently completed their studies are encouraged to apply for Rabobank’s 2027 graduate program, with successful applicants gaining hands-on experience in rural communities across Australia, including regional banking branches.
The specialist agribusiness bank has opened applications for its 18-month graduate program, which begins in February next year and is designed to develop the next generation of agricultural and agribusiness banking professionals.
Rabobank Australia chief executive Caroline Oosterbaan said the program gave graduates the opportunity to build meaningful careers while supporting Australian agriculture.
“Since launching our formal graduate program in 2023, Rabobank has helped university graduates across Australia who have a passion for agriculture start their careers while at the same time building a strong pipeline of talent for the bank,” she said.
Graduates rotate through a range of business areas before spending time in a rural or regional branch, gaining firsthand experience working with farming clients and regional communities.
Each participant is also paired with a senior mentor to support their professional development throughout the program.
Rabobank state manager for NSW Toby Mendi said the program benefited both graduates and the bank.
“The graduates bring energy, new ideas and fresh thinking into the Rabobank teams they work with,” he said.
“The opportunity to work across different commodities and geographies gives participants a genuinely broad understanding of Australian agriculture.”
The graduate program has also received national recognition, ranking among Australia’s top graduate employers in recent industry awards.
Applications close on August 18, with successful applicants beginning the program in February 2027.
