THE creation of a commemorative brick wall will be among many ways in which Cudal Public School will soon celebrate their 150th anniversary, with the community invited to help create a lasting tribute to the school’s proud history.
In celebration of the milestone, the school will establish a commemorative wall and landscaped area in the nature area of the school grounds, featuring engraved bricks purchased by past and present students, families and community members.
Organisers said the commemorative project would provide an opportunity for generations of the Cudal community to leave their mark on the school’s history and recognise the people who have helped shape the school over the past 150 years.
Orders for commemorative bricks are now open, with forms available from the Cudal Public School office and Platypus Pantry.
Completed order forms can be emailed to Cudal Public School at cudal-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au or returned to the school office before July 31.
Payment must be made to the P and C, with banking details available on the order form.
The commemorative wall and landscaped area will be unveiled during the school’s official 150th anniversary ceremony on Saturday 31 October, with celebrations beginning at 10am.
Organisers have advised there may be a second opportunity to order bricks after 31 July.
However, any additional bricks will not be placed on the wall until after the anniversary event, with further details to be provided if a second order period proceeds.
