CABONNE Shire business and industry representatives are being invited to share their views on the future of skills and training in the region.
TAFE NSW wants to hear what is working, what could be improved, and what support the community needs.
A workshop will be held at Molong in late August and aims to bring together local business and industry representatives to discuss the challenges facing the region and explore ways TAFE services could better support the community.
TAFE NSW’s manager of community engagement, Nazik Yako, said the conversation was particularly important for Cabonne Shire because the region does not have a dedicated training and trade facility.
“Because we don’t have a campus there, we wanted to identify what were the community’s needs, aspirations, their challenges, and how we can better support them,” she said.
Ms Yako said whether new local opportunities could be introduced would depend on community demand, facilities, and course availability.
Feedback gathered at the workshop aims to help TAFE NSW staff understand local priorities and identify possible future training pathways for residents and businesses.
The workshop will be held at the Cabonne Community Centre at Molong from 9.30am to 12.30pm on 26 August. An optional networking morning tea will be available after the workshop.
