NEW South Wales Police are seeking information after two people were seriously injured when two SUVs collided near Manildra on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to Henry Parkes Way, near the intersection of Old Orange Road, at about 2.15pm, following reports of a crash.
Officers from the Central West Police District, along with fire and ambulance crews attended and found a Nissan SUV and Kia SUV had collided.
The Nissan X-Trail driver, a 26-year-old man, was treated at the scene by New South Wales Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition with serious abdominal injuries.
Police said via a media statement on Monday they’ve been advised his condition has been stabilised.
His passenger, a woman in her 40s was taken to Orange Base Hospital for surgery after suffering internal injuries, as well as a broken leg and injuries to her ribs, arms and face.
The driver of the Kia, a man in his 50s, was taken to Orange Base Hospital as a precaution and was subject to mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
Henry Parkes Way was closed for most of the afternoon due to the incident.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.
They are also appealing for witnesses to the crash, or for people who may have mobile phone footage, or CCTV or dashcam vision that could assist investigators.
