WITH only a few days remaining, anticipation is building for the Cudal Show as the local community prepares to mark a historic milestone: 125 years of their country show.
Alongside long-standing crowd favourites, this year’s program introduces several exciting new features. Attendees will also enjoy extended hours to soak in the atmosphere, with the showground remaining open until 5pm.
Highlights among the new additions include a dedicated ute show and an onsite bar, followed by a lively lawn mower race to wrap up the festivities.
There will be plenty happening before then, with live music from Shane Kerr, roving performers from Cirquemnavigate and the return of crowd favourite Fairy La La.
The horse program, market stalls, Pavilion entries, dog high Jump, and reptile show will feature throughout the day.
While the scheduled events are central to the Cudal Show, the committee believes its core attraction lies far beyond them.
“It isn’t some big corporate event where you are lost in the crowd,” secretary of the show society, Jacqu Fowler said.
“It’s a place to bump into your neighbours, somewhere your kids can roam.”
As organisers put the finishing touches on preparations, they are eager to welcome everyone through the gates for this year’s event.
Taking place on Sunday 13 September, the Cudal Show will offer visitors a full day of festivities.
With a scheduled 5pm finish, guests have ample opportunity to enjoy everything on offer before the lawn mowers rev up for a memorable conclusion to the 125th event.
