Family fun day calls for volunteers

COMMUNITY members of all ages are being invited to lend a hand for this year’s Cumnock Family Fun Day to ensure a memorable experience for local families.

Organisers are seeking enthusiastic adult helpers alongside young volunteers in Year 6 and above to assist with running various activities across the event.

Youth volunteers can assist with hands-on stations such as rock painting, nail art, simple “mermaid” braiding, and making necklaces and bracelets.

Prior experience is not required to participate, according to event organiser Cassandra Roberts.

“You don’t need to be an expert. Just bring your smile, creativity and willingness to help,” Ms Roberts said.

The call-out is also being extended to adults who would like to contribute their time and help the event run smoothly.

Ms Roberts said volunteers would help make the day extra special for the families and children who attend.

The Cumnock Community Family Fun Day is a community event seeking to bring local families together, with a range of activities and entertainment aimed at children and people of all ages.

Anyone interested in volunteering, either as a young person in Year 6 or above or as an adult, is encouraged to contact the Cumnock Community Family Fun Day organisers to find out more or put their name down.
