AFTER a well-earned, restful holiday break, Molong District Soccer Club returned to Hunter Caldwell Grounds for another exciting round of soccer on Saturday.
Despite the chilly winter conditions, players, coaches and supporters turned out in great numbers, creating a fantastic atmosphere around the grounds.
Hunter Caldwell was looking magnificent, providing the perfect backdrop for a wonderful day of community sport, it was great to see everyone back on the pitch.
The U12 Eagles returned from a two-week break in outstanding form, securing a hard-fought 5–2 victory over Kinross Wolaroi Thunder.
After some time away from competition, the team came together brilliantly, showing great teamwork, determination and communication across the field.
The mighty U5 Phoenix team continues to have lots of fun on the field each week.
There are always plenty of smiles when the Club mascot, Jose, makes an appearance, bringing extra excitement and cheers from the sidelines.
It’s wonderful to see our youngest players building their skills, confidence and friendships while enjoying every moment on the field.
The U10 Seagulls came close to having their wings clipped in the first half against Orange Ex-Services Snow Leopards, but some superb long-range strikes from Ashton Baker, Harrison Foster and Henry Haynes ensured they stayed in front.
In the second-half, Mila Livingstone continued to impress with her outstanding all-round performance, working tirelessly across the field, while Ike Chrystall capped off a fantastic game with a well-deserved hat-trick to seal an impressive victory for the Seagulls.
Well done to the entire team on a great display of teamwork and determination!
Next week’s games will be held in Orange, and club members wish all the teams the very best.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Saturday 12 September, when the club will celebrate the End of Season Presentation, followed by a fun-filled disco.
