YOUNG athletes from across the district are being encouraged to lace up their running shoes, with registrations now open for the new Cumnock Little Athletics season.
The club, which serves families from Cumnock, Manildra, Yeoval and Molong, is preparing for another summer of weekly athletics, with children aged three through to Under 17s welcome to take part.
Cumnock Little Athletics secretary Cassandra Roberts said the club was a great way for children to get active, build confidence and make new friends.
“We want to create a welcoming environment where every child can have a go, learn new skills and enjoy being part of the community,” she said.
The season will begin on Monday 12 October at Cumnock Memorial Oval and run through until the end of Term 1, 2027.
The club welcomes children of all experience levels, from those trying athletics for the first time to young athletes looking to develop their skills further.
Families can also save $10 by registering before the early bird offer closes on 31 August.
